Following the huge success of Romance and Yasmin and the flamenco-influenced La Juderia, Yasmin Levy returns to her Ladino roots for her new album Mano Suave. Once again digging deep into the centuries-old Sephardic (Judeo-Spanish) musical traditions, Levy's stunning voice breathes new life into songs from this almost extinct repertoire. Continuing the artist's policy of using the best musicians available, the new album features players from Iran, Armenia, Greece, Paraguay, Israel, Turkey and Spain. Of special note, the album's title track features Natacha Atlas as special guest vocalist. Mano Suave was produced by Lucy Duran (Toumani Diabate, Bassekou Kouyate etc) and Jerry Boys (Buena Vista Social Club, REM, Ry Cooder, Billy Bragg etc).
